TRANSPORT, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Caution! Disconnect the sparking plug cable before installing, adjusting, replacing accessories or storing the device.
This will allow for avoiding accidental turning on of the device.
When not in use, store the device in a dry, secured place inaccessible to unauthorised persons.
Before transporting the device, it is necessary to empty the fuel tank.
Replace worn or damaged parts to ensure safety. Use original spare parts only. Failure to use original spare parts may increase
the risk of failure and lead to injuries. The device should be repaired only at authorised service centres using original spare parts.
This will minimise the risk of accidents and damage to the equipment.
Store the device in a well-ventilated dry and closed room. When stored for a longer period, empty the fuel tank and the fuel sys-
tem. Do not store the device with fuel in the tank. The device should also undergo the maintenance procedures described in the
instructions manual.
When transporting the device, remove the auger and extension.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws in good condition to ensure safe device operation.
EARTH AUGER OPERATION
Preparing for operation
Unpack the device and remove all elements of the packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging, as it can be
helpful for further transport and storage of the device.
Start installing the auger to the earth auger by placing the auger onto the earth auger spindle in such a way that the pin securing
the auger to the spindle (II) can be inserted. The pin should be secured against slipping out with a cotter pin (II).
The extension should be mounted between the auger and the spindle using pins secured with cotter pins in the same way as
when installing the auger directly onto the spindle (III). It is recommended to start drilling with an auger attached directly to the
spindle and use the extension when the length of the auger is insu
ffi
cient. Such order will provide easier control of the earth auger.
Refuelling
When preparing the device for refuelling, it must be positioned in such a way that the fuel
fi
ller of the tank is facing upwards.
The fuel mixture intended for two-stroke engines is used to drive the device. It is forbidden to use petrol alone. Petrol should
be mixed with oil in the following ratio: petrol : oil - 40 : 1. The mixture should be mixed before pouring into the fuel tank. Mixing
and pouring fuel should be carried out away from
fi
re sources. Never smoke while refuelling. Refuelling must be carried out at a
distance of at least 3 metres from the starting and work area of the device.
In order to protect the engine, use good quality unleaded petrol and good quality oil for two-stroke air-cooled engines. Do not use
oil intended for four-stroke engines. Do not use oil for liquid-cooled engines.
In case of spilling the fuel, thoroughly wipe o
ff
its residues before starting the device.
Do not use a mixture older than 30 days.
After re
fi
lling the tank, close its
fi
ller
fi
rmly and securely.
Starting the tool
Place the device on the ground. Make sure that the auger does not come into contact with the ground or any object. It is forbidden
to start the device resting it on the auger.
Press the fuel pump a few times to bring the fuel to the carburettor (IV).
Move the power switch to the on position – I (V).
Press and hold the throttle lever lock and the throttle lever on the handle, then lock them in this position by pressing the throttle
lock button (VI).
Close the throttle (VII). For example, if a warm engine is started after a short break in operation, the throttle may remain in the
open position (VIII).
Grasp the handle with one hand and the starter pull cord handle with the other and pull the cord handle vigorously so that it slides
out about 50 cm (IX). Avoid pulling the cord several times in rapid succession. After starting the engine, hold the handle to avoid
jerking of the retractable cord and allow it to slowly retract into the housing.
After starting the engine, open the throttle completely.
Then press the throttle lever on the handle slightly to release the lock. Then release the pressure on all the levers, the engine will
start running at idle, which should not cause the auger to rotate.
If the auger rotates while the carburettor is running at idle, adjust the carburettor. The carburettor can only be adjusted at an
authorised service centre. Allow the engine to run for 2-3 minutes at idle to warm up.
Stopping the device
Release all levers on the handle so that the engine starts to run at idle and leave the device in this condition for 2-3 minutes. Then
move the power switch to the o
ff
position – O. The engine will stop.
Caution! If there is a need for emergency stopping of the engine, set the power switch in the o
ff
position – O. However, do not stop
