Aileron Horn Inspection Panel
The aileron horn inspection panel must be made before gluing the wing casing in
place. This will be installed between the BL-118 and BL-125. Demarcate the area in the
lower cladding close to these ribs and 6 inches long, transmit the marking to the outer
cladding with the aid of a square. Make a small tear in the leading edge to demarcate the
area.
Carefully cut with a bow saw by hand for a better finish. The cutting edges of each
panel should be hardened for better durability by removing the core from the edges a little
and filling with a MICRO paste. After removing and preparing the panel, cover the entire
inner surface of the cover with clean plastic tape and reposition it back in place. Tape the
outside to keep the corners aligned. Now build a flange of ½” on the edges that come
into contact with the lid using 3 layers of wet BID of width 1 inch and let it cure. Remove
the cap and trim. Bolt holes will be made after gluing the undercoat to the wing.

Suggested pitot tube fabrication
The figure below shows a way to build your own pitot tube cheaply and effectively.
If you want a complete IFR aircraft we suggest you buy a commercial pitot unit.
