Setup Menu Item Modules

TriPlus RSH User Guide

Thermo Scientific

Default Strategy

Defines of the global movement of the TriPlus RSH Head
across the system platform. The following selections are
possible:

•

Parallel

— Allows simultaneously movement of all axes.

This mode is the default mode. When operating the
TriPlus RSH in this mode, the positions and heights of
the known modules are respected. The TriPlus RSH
changes the strategy automatically.
For example: if one module is higher than another, the
TriPlus RSH would lower the Z-axis to the zero position
to allow the modules to cross over.
If an external object is within the platform, for example
a GC Detector, then the X-, Y-, and Z-positions of this
potential obstacle are not known to the TriPlus RSH. In
such a case, it is necessary to switch the strategy to

Safe

mode.

•

Safe

— The

Y-axis moves from any point first to zero Y

(back to the X-axis) before the X-movement is started.
This mode allows bypassing of an object (such as a large
GC detector) that would be directly in the travel path if
the

Parallel

mode is used.

Default Waste

Allows selecting the corresponding Wash Module installed.

None
