8.1.1.2 Creating another Volume Group
To create another VG, verify from Volume Manager Disk List if there is available free or
“Non_Initialized” disk. If there is none, a new Volume Set (RAID disk) must be created first using
internal RAID Manager. If a new Volume Set has already been created, the proNAS operating system
must be restarted in order to detect the new RAID disk. To restart the proNAS operating system,
select System Manager under proNAS, then click Reboot tab then click “Reboot Now” button. Re-
login to NAS manager page after reboot.
To create another VG, perform the following steps:
1. In Volume Manager, click “Create VG” button.
2. Enter the Volume Group Name. Click “Save” when done.
