7A-36 MANUAL TRANSMISSION

83) Check the longitudinal play of the 3rd&4th (18) and 1st&2nd

(19) selector forks.

84) Place both selectors in the centre of the play and tighten

the setscrews to the specified torque.

85) Move reverse gear crosspiece (7) towards the front of the

gear box and tighten in this position.

Torque for fork setscrews:
2,2 ÷ 2,8 Kg-m (22 ÷ 28 Nm)

Checking the assembly

86) With reverse gear crosspiece moved forwards, turn the gear

assembly in neutral and check that the reverse gear pinion
does not rub against the 1st gear fixed gear set.

87) If there is rubbing, loosen the crosspiece screw and move

the crosspiece far enough back so as to correct the defect.

88) Remove plate (101) and the separators.

89) Apply recommended sealant in the face of support of the

superior cover (3).

90) Fit lever housing (2) next to superior cover (3) and axis (1).
91) Fit the lodging of the lever (2) and the superior cover (3)

pressing the screws to the specified couple.

Torque for top cover screws:
2,2 ÷ 2,8 Kg-m (22 ÷ 28 Nm)
Torque for housing screws:
2,2 ÷ 2,8 Kg-m (22 ÷ 28 Nm)

92) Fit breathing tubes with their band
93) Fit tube vent with their racor and washers.
