ADMISSION

EXHAUST

MAIN MEASURES OF VALVES AND VALVES GUIDES

Check play between rods and valve guides and
valves run out

3) Once the valves rods diameter has been checked , install

each valve in its corresponding housing to check for play
and run out.

4) Fit a dial gauge (K) on magnetic base as shown in the figure

feeling with its measuring tip head of valve (15) and check
radial play which must be within the specified range.

Valves radial play
0,023 ÷ 0,053 mm

NOTE:
If radial play exceeds specified value, substitute the
valves guides.

5) With dial gauge placed as above described , check for valves

run out turning them around. Run out should not be above
specified value,. Otherwise replace piece (valve or valve
guide).

Maximum valves run out:
0,03 mm

2) Using a micrometer (J), measure valves rod (14); which must

be within specified range.

Valves rods diameter:
7,985 ÷ 8,00 mm

NOTE:
If rods diameter does not adjust to specified values,
substitute the valves
