5-30 BRAKES

Revision

1) Verify the brake disc friction surface in case there are too

deep scratches. If there are these types of scratches,
mechanically rectify the corresponding disc face, without
exceeding the service limit.

NOTE:
If in order to get an adequate working surface it was
found that limits should be exceeded replace the brake
disc.

2) If cracking or hints of crackings are found in the brake disc,

replace it.

Intallation

1) Align marks (A) you did under task -9- and fix the brake disc

to hub tightening screws to specified tightening torque.

Tightening torque for nuts fixing brake disc:
3,5 Kg-m (35 Nm)

2) Proceed to install hub and to its adjustment (see 4A-13).
3) Install support (2) of the brake caliper and caliper (1)

tightening screws at the specified tightening torque.

Tightening torque:
• Screws fixing brake caliper support:

6,5 ÷ 7,5 Kg-m (65 ÷ 75 Nm)

• Screws fixing brake caliper:

3,1 ÷ 3,5 Kg-m (31 ÷ 35 Nm)
