6L-2 LUBRICATION SYSTEM

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

LUBRICATION CIRCUIT

Overview

The engine lubrication is of type forced circulation and is brought about by the following elements:

• A gears oil pump incorporated in the auxiliary organs group and a pressure regulating valve incorporated to the

auxiliary organs group rear cover.

• A Modine type heat exchanger with incorporated safety valve.
• An oil filter (double filtrated) with incorporated safety valve.

Running

Oil is sucked by the pump through a sucker plunged in the oil pan. Oil comes under pressure to the heat exchanger where
it cools, goes through the oil filter, arriving later to the different organs in motion of engine to be lubricated through conduits
and pipes.
When the lubrication cycle is accomplished oil returns to the oil pan by gravity.
In case the oil filter is blocked or the heat exchanger is blocked, any of both would be excluded of lubrication circuit
through its safety valve avoiding thus that the engine becomes without lubrication.
