Using External Save
Press the "Miscellaneous" button on the "UTILITIES Tab
Screen" and then press the "Account" button on the other
settings screen. Pressing the "External Save" button on the
account setting screen displays the external input/output screen
(password).
On this screen, you can "Backup," "Restore," "Export" and
"Import" password information.
If a USB memory device is not connected, the "Export" button
and "Import" button are not displayed.
Use a USB memory device that has been checked for viruses
and confirmed to be functioning properly.
Backing Up to the Instrument
1. Pressing the "Backup" button on the external input/output
screen (password) displays the file transfer confirmation
screen.
2. Press "Yes," and the current password information will be
output to a file and backed up to the CF card in the
instrument.
If a backup file already exists, the current file will be overwritten.
Restoring from the Backup in the Instrument
1. Pressing the "Restore" button on the external input/output
screen (password) displays the file transfer confirmation
screen.
2. Press "Yes," and the password information backed up to the
CF card in the instrument will be loaded.
The currently set information will be replaced with the restored
information.
If there is no backup file, nothing occurs.
Outputting (Exporting) to a USB Memory Device
1. Pressing the "Export" button on the external input/output screen
(password) displays the file transfer confirmation screen.
2. Press "Yes," and the current password information will be output
to a file in the USB memory device connected to the Polar®
instrument.
Inputting (Importing) from a USB Memory Device
1. Pressing the "Import" button on the external input/output screen
(password) displays the file transfer confirmation screen.
2. Press "Yes," and the password file will be loaded from the USB
memory device connected to the Polar® instrument and applied.
The currently set information will be replaced with the loaded
information.
