How to Operate the Right Panel (DM only)
How to Operate the Right Panel for Motorized Sectioning
The right panel can be used to start, pause or stop motorized sectioning or adjust the motorized sectioning
speed.
Starting Motorized Sectioning
Press the pause key (
 
) and stop key (

) together.
Motorized sectioning will be performed 30 times and then stop.
Pausing Motorized Sectioning
Press the pause key (
 
).
If the specimen head is sectioning in the FINE mode or TRIM mode, it
stops the moment this key is pressed. Motorized sectioning cannot be
paused in the PAUSE mode, but you can set the specimen head to stop at
the sectioning end position. Refer to p. 1-25 for information on how to set
each mode. Refer to p. 1-35 for information on how to set the sectioning
end position.
Press the pause key (
 
) and stop key (

) together to start sectioning.
Do not turn the handwheel while sectioning is paused, because the
handwheel is locked by the motor.
To switch to manual sectioning, stop motorized sectioning first.
Stopping Motorized Sectioning
Press the stop key (

).
The specimen head rises to the highest position and stops.
Adjusting the Sectioning Speed
Use the speed adjustment lever on the right panel to adjust the motorized
sectioning speed.
Raise the lever to increase the speed. Lower the lever to decrease the
speed.
The speed can be changed while motorized sectioning is in progress or
paused.
Chattering may occur due to high-speed sectioning.
Sectioning will not stop even when the lowest speed is selected.
