Blade Guard   

The blade guard is used to prevent the tip of the disposable blade 
from being exposed. Be sure to use the blade guard when 
performing any task in the chamber that does not use the blade.   
 
1. Tilt the Anti-Roll Plate and vacuum suction port toward you.   
2. Hold the knob on the blade guard and tilt it away from you to 
guard the tip of the disposable blade.   
3. To store the blade guard, perform steps 1 and 2 in the reverse 
order.   
The Anti-Roll Plate cannot be used properly if the blade guard is 
above the vacuum suction port.   
 

When installing or orienting a specimen, be sure to lock the
