Name of Each Part (Chamber)
[1] Cryobar and Cryobar removable plate
Tissue samples can be tentatively stored here. Up to 15 (round) blocks of numbered Cryobar removable
plates can be set. Refer to p. 1-12 for details.
[2] Cryo+
This rapid freezing unit is used with the heat extractor to freeze specimens in the chamber. Refer to p.
2-5 for details.
[3] Parking plate
This plate serves as a base on which to set the heat extractor. Refer to p. 2-35 for details.
[4] Heat extractor
Used to freeze specimens. Refer to p. 2-35 for details.
[5] Specimen head (specimen holder)
This head serves as a base on which to set a specimen (frozen block) and adjust the specimen
temperature. The Anti-Roll Rake can also be set here.
[6] Anti-Roll Rake
This implement is used to prevent the section from curling. Refer to p. 2-13 for details.
[7] Anti-Roll Plate
This implement is used to prevent the section from curling. Refer to p. 2-14 for details.
[8] Blade holder
The specimen is sectioned and flattened on the stage when collecting the section. The blade can be
angle-adjusted and moved to left and right, and the Anti-Roll Plate and vacuum suction port can also be
set here. Note that the blade holder can be taken out of the chamber.
[9] Vacuum filter set
A set of pre-filter and bacterial filter for collecting the suctioned debris. Refer to p. 3-3 for details.
[10] Drain port
This drain port is used during the defrost cycle.
[11] Ozone lamp, chamber LED light
[12] Vacuum filter setting base
The vacuum filter is set on this base.
[13] Ozone port
Air is taken in from this port for the ozone disinfection cycle.
[14] Chamber bottom cooling base
The blade holder is fixed to this base.
