Place the washer (6) and the pump (5) on the bolts (10) so the splines of the drive
shaft enter the pump drive in the accessory gearbox.
(8)
Put the washers (4) on screws, screw down new selflocking nuts (3) on the screws -
(see 72-02-00, Table 203, item 39) and tight them in accordance with requirements.
(9)
Connect the pipe delivering oil from the tank to the connection pipe (2) of oil pump.
(10) Screw down the nut (1) by hand, next tight it with use of spanner and secure it with
wire.
(11) Pour the oil into the oil tank up to the level of 8 dm

(8 liters, 2.1 US gallons).

Operations after pump installation.
NOTE:
Carry out the test of connections' tightness 30 minutes after the end of pump
installation.
If leaks of oil are found, tight the nut of pipe or the nuts fastening the pump
and repeat the test again.

Motoring (cold) the engine (see 71-02-00 ADJUSTMENT / TEST, Para 3.C.) check
attachment surfaces of the pump and oil tube for leakages.
(2)
Start the engine on the ground (see 71-02-00 ADJUSTMENT / TEST, Para 3.E.).
At the ground idle warm up the oil to the temp, of 313 K (40°C; 104°F) at the engine
inlet.
(3)
Increase the engine rating to nominal and check oil pressure.
(4)
Shut-down the engine (see 71-02-00, ADJUSTMENT AND TESTS, clause 3.G).
(5)
Check oil tube connection to the pump and attachment to the pump to the accessory
gearbox for leakages.
NOTE:
In case of leakage tighten the nut of the tube connection or the nuts of the
pump attachment and repeat the checking procedure.
(6)
In case of improper oil pressure adjust it (see 71-02-00, ADJUSTMENT AND
TESTS, clause 5.F).
2. Scavenge pump replacement (see Dwg. 402).
NOTE:
During removal and installation of pipes, apply the rules specified in 70-02-00,
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, clause 1.
A. Scavenge pump removal.
(1)
Drain the oil from the tank (see Maintance Manual of Helicopter).
(2)
Unsecure and unscrew the nuts (1). (2). (3). (4). (5) and disconnect from the pump
the oil pipes that are fastened by these nuts.
