(3)
Adjustment procedure using adjustment screw LI (see Fig. 509)
(a)
Remove safety wire (4) with leaden seal (3).
(b)
Place tubular spanner on adjustment screw (1).
(c)
Loosen locknut (2) maintaining unchanged position of adjustment screw (1) using
tubular spanner.
(d)
Turn anti - or clockwise adjustment screw (1) as needed.
(e)
Tighten up locknut (2) maintaining unchanged position of adjustment screw (1).
(f)
Safety wire (4) the locknut (2).
(g)
Place leaden seal 13) on the end of wire (4) and tighten up the seal.
(h)
Record adjustment performed in the technical certificate of fuel- metering pump.
WARNING:
PRIOR TO CHANGING LOCATION OF SCREW M3 or L1, READ IN
THE TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE OF THE FUEL-METERING PUMP
NOTES CONCERNING PREVIOUS ADJUSTMENT CHANGES OF
SCREW
M3
or
L1
AND
MAKE
SURE
NOT
TO
EXCEED
PERMISSIBLE LIMIT FOR THIS ADJUSTMENT SCREWS.
(4)
Expected effects of adjustments.
(a)
Turning the screw M3 clockwise reduces parameters of Gl rating
(N1, CTOT)
(b)
Turning the screw L1 clockwise increases limitation level of max. fuel delivery.
NOTE:
There is following correlation between adjustments of L1 and M3
screws: screw L1 adjustment to increase limitation of maximum fuel
delivery involves simultaneous proportional increase of fuel delivery at
Gl, and consequently increasing parameters at Gl, but screw M3
adjustment to increase fuel delivery at Gl involves the increase of max
fuel delivery limitation level by the same value.
