Storage of the Engine's Accessories.
Only preserved and packed accessories, which pertain to spare parts set or are
removed from the engine, are subject to storage.
A.
Storage life for accessories packed in manufacturer's facility is given on their
certificates.
B.
Accessories removed from the helicopter and preserved in accordance with
item 8 can be stored within the period up to 3 months.
C.
Accessories preserved internally on engine (see item 5.C) and externally (see
item 8.A, subitems (5) ÷ (8)) can be stored within the period up to 1 year.
D.
Keep accessories - preserved and packed in accordance with item 8 - in the
store-room at temperature of 283 K to 308 K ( + 10°C up to +35°C; 50°F up to
95°F) and relative air humidity max. 70%.
4.
Unpackaging (Removal) and Depreservation of Engine.
A.
General information.
Engine is packed into manufacturer's shipping container (see Fig. 301). The
container with the engine, shall be lifted by means of lifting cord fixed to four
container's shipping eyes (3) using a hoist of lifting capacity no less than 9,8
kN (1000 kG; 2205 lb).
NOTE:
The tool bag is added only to the engines having even numbers.
Therefore for proper (normal) operation of the engines as well as for
utilization of single set of spare parts and tools - it is recommended
to install on helicopter the set of engines with even and odd
numbers.
CAUTION:
IN CASE WHEN ENGINE OR CONTAINER WITH ENGINE IS
DROPPED AS WELL AS IN CASE OF ANY ACCIDENT, APPLY
OPERATIONS (JOB) ACCORDING TO SECTION 72-02-00,
INSPECTION AND CHECK; item 5.G.
B.
Unpackaging of engine.
(1)
Inspect the shipping container and make sure if there are the lead seals
(9) and if it is free from any external damages.
Remove the lead seals.
(2)
Open the window (2) on the container top cover and take out
documantation.
(3)
Undo a nuts (6), take off the screws (7) fastening container top cover to
its base (8).
