(1)
The power turbine guide vane assembly, (PTGV) (4) consists of the outer shroud that the guide vanes of the
inner ring are welded in, the inner ring with the slots in that the opposite ends of the vanes are inserted with
small clearances and the diaphragm in the inner ring.
The PTGV is placed in the chamber of the compressor turbine case (3) and fastened with help of the bolts to
its inner rear flange.
(2)
The power turbine rotor consists of the disc with the blades (25) attached by means of the fir-tree roots, and
the shaft (24) connected with the disc by the bolts.
The rotor is supported outriggerly by two bearings, the front bearing (23) is of roller type while the rear bearing
(21) is of ball type. The rotor shaft through the connecting shaft (19) with pack couplings (20) links the engine
with the main gearbox. The bevel gear (15) being the drive of the driving box of the power turbine rotational
speed limiter is mounted on the rotor shaft.
(3)
The outer casing (26) with the bearing support (22) is the load-carrying element for the power turbine rotor.
(a)
The outer casing is a welded assembly consisting of the outer and inner casings connected by four
equally spaced fairings.
The fairings serve as the shields for the pipes. The pipe delivering the oil to the turbine rotor bearings
goes through the left fairing, the pipe draining the oil from the oil bearing area goes through the lower
fairing, while the pipe supplying the air to cool and pressure the bearing labyrinth goes through the right
fairing.
The driving box of the rotational speed limiter is fastened at the upper part of the outer casing and the
driving shaft (13) of the accessory goes through the fairing.
The ring with the metal-ceramic inserts (5) and through it the compressor turbine casing is fastened to
the front flange of the outer casing. The exhaust duct (17) is fastened to the rear flange of the outer
casing.
The bearing support and mounting cone are attached to the inner casing flange.
(b)
The bearing support (22) is the assembly in which the bearings and the labyrinths closing the oil area of
the power turbine rotor bearings are mounted and that creates the oil drainage area.
The bevel gear with bearings creating the drive of the driving box (7) of the power turbine rotational
speed limiter (6) is placed in its upper part.
(4)
The mounting cone (18) plays the role of the engine support. It consists of two parts connected together by
the articulated joints. The front part is connected to the inner casing of the power turbine case while the rear
part is connected to the main gearbox.
