ENGINE-SERVICING
1.
Shipment of Engine.
The engine, preserved and packed into its manufacturer's shipping container, can be shipped:
A.
By railway, truck or air shipment inside non-hermetic cabin up to altitude of 10000 m (32808 ft).
B.
By sea shipment - in the hold, with double quantity of silica-gel desiccant in the container.
2. Storage of Engine.
Engines may be stored in the manufacturer's shipping containers (in a store-room or on a store place under a roof) or on a
helicopter.
NOTE:
1.
An engine may be stored for a period not longer than the one defined for a specific type of storing.
2.
If it is necessary to store an engine for a longer period than the defined one, as the first make engine
unpacking and depreservation (see 72-02-00 ENGINE - SERVICING, item 4) and next follow the
procedure specified for a specific type of storing.

Enter information about these operations related to engine storage.
A.
Storage of the Engine Packed by its Manufacturer.
The engine packed in a box by Manufacturer can be stored for a preservation validity period in a store-room or on a
store place under a roof.
NOTE:
The validity period of Manufaturer's preservation may be 2 years (when the engine is preserved internally
and externally) or 1 year (when the engine is preserved only internally). It depends on an agreement with
a User.

The store-room or store place shall meet the following requirements:
(a)
The store-room shall be dry and clean. It is not allowed to store caustic or dusty substances in the
engine store-room.
