Connect the electric lead to the pick-up (see item C).

Perform the check tests (see 71-02-00, ADJUSTMENT / TEST, item 4.B, subitem 5a and b for the basic
circuit and item 4.C, subitem 6 for the emergency circuit).
NOTE:
1.
During disconnecting and connecting the electric lead, follow the recommendations given
in the item C.
2. During undoing and tightening the nuts fastening the pick-up to the casing, follow the
recommendations given in the item D.

Types of power turbine speed pick-ups.
(1)
CRL-3/1K or CRL-3/3K in the basic circuit (72-02-00, Dwg 2, item 1)
(2)
CRL-3/1 or CRL-3/3 in the emergency circuit (72-02-00, Dwg 2, item 2)
(3)
CRL-3/1 A or CRL-3/3A in the indication circuit (72-02-00, Dwg 3, item 29)
NOTE:
1.
The CRL-3/1 K. CRL-3/1, CRL-3/1 A pick-ups have electric five-pin coupling with
a plug tightened and secured with a wire. To connect the electric lead to the
pick-up, slip the plug onto the pins, tighten the plug nut home and secure it with a
wire.
2.
The CRL-3/3K, CRL-3/3, CRL-3/3A pick-ups have electric six-pin coupling. To connect
the electric lead to the pick-up, slip the plug onto the pins and turn the plug nut right to
snap the locking snap fastener protecting against undoing.
When disconnecting the plug, turn the plug nut left overcoming the resistance of the
locking snap fastener.
WARNING:
WHEN SLIPPING THE PLUG OF THE ELECTRIC COUPLING ONTO THE PINS OF
THE PICK-UP COUPLING DRAW ATTENTION TO PROPER POSITIONING THE PLUG
HOLES WITH RESPECT TO THE PINS AND BE CAREFUL NOT TO BEND OR BREAK
THE PINS.

Types of safetying of nuts fastening a pick-up to a case.
The following types of safetying of nuts fastening a pick-up to a case may occur in the
PZL-10W engines:
-
self-locking nuts, 89.04.0648
-
nuts and spring washers. 89.04.0653 nuts
-
secured with a wire. 89.04.0643
NOTE:
If it is necessary to replace a pick-up for another one, use nuts secured with , a wire if the
pick-up was fastened to the case by means of self-locking nuts or nuts with spring washers
