NOTE:
Engine external preservation shall be made at the ambient temperature not lower than 283 K (+10°C, +50°F).

Put plugs on the engine inlet and outlet.
(5)
Every 30 days of storage, inspect the external surfaces of the engine and, if corrosion is found, clean and preserve
corroded areas.

Storage of the Engine Removed From Helicopter - up to 6 months.
(1)
Inspect the engine (see 71-02-00, ADJUSTMENT AND TESTS item 2) and, if necessary, wash the compressor (see
71-02-00, CLEANING AND PAINTING, item 1).
(2)
Preserve the fuel system (see item 5.C), oil system (see item 5.B), and compressor (see item 5.D).
(3)
Remove the engine from the helicopter (see 71-02-00, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, item 2).
(4)
Perform external preservation of the engine (see item 5.E).
(5)
Wrap the engine with two layers of paraffin paper and cover the box with the container top cover.
(6)
Store the container with the engine inside in a closed space at the temperature of 283 K to 308 K (+10°C up to +35°C;
50°F to 95 °F).
CAUTION:
TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION RESULTING IN CONDENSATION OF WATER VAPOUR IN THE
STORAGE-ROOM IS NOT PERMITTED.

Storage of the Engine Removed From the Helicopter - up to 1 year.
(1)
Inspect the engine (see 71-02-00, ADJUSTMENT AND TESTS item 2) and, if necessary, wash the compressor (see
71-02-00, CLEANING AND PAINTING, item 1).
(2)
Preserve the fuel system (see item 5.C), oil system (see item 5.B), and compressor (see item 5.D).
(3)
Remove the engine from the helicopter (see 71-02-00, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, , item 2).
(4)
Perform external preservation of the engine (see item 5.E).
(5)
Pack the engine according to item 6.C.
(6)
Store the container with the engine inside in a store-room or on a store place according to requirements specified in
item A, subitems (1) and (2).
