Using the bridging plug
) is needed whenever the teach pendant is not
to be available in the operating mode "Automatic" with external controller (productive
mode), depending on the application.
If the teach pendant is removed, the bridging plug must be inserted into the 20-pin socket
connector on the control cabinet (label in the operating manual for the robot control module
PRCM1: 20XS1), otherwise the robot program cannot be started.
NOTICE
Malfunctions caused by inserting/removing the bridging plug while
voltage is applied!
Inserting or removing the bridging plug while voltage is applied may result in
malfunctions.
Ensure that the bridging plug is only inserted or removed in the de-ener-
gised state.

Remove the teach pendant by removing the teach pendant's connection cable from the
control cabinet and inserting the bridging plug instead.
