Exchanging the teach pendant
The system or plant integrator is obligated to take the situations in which service robotics
modules from Pilz are exchanged into account in his risk analysis. The risk analysis must
indicate the appropriate measures.
We recommend that you consider the following when exchanging the teach pendant.
Prerequisites
}
The robot arm has been moved to its park position, depending on the application.
}
The software on the teach pendant has been saved on a supported USB storage medium
(e.g. USB stick).
}
The wiring diagram for the application is available.
}
The supply voltage has been switched off via the control cabinet main switch.
}
A teach pendant with identical or compatible hardware version is available as the ex-
change device.
Procedure
}
Remove all connections from the teach pendant.
}
Establish all the connections on the exchange device using the wiring diagram for the ap-
plication.
}
Connect the USB storage medium to the teach pendant.
}
Switch on the teach pendant and download the saved software from the USB storage
medium.
Note: The saved software contains the settings and the robot programs.
