7.12 Updating the Software

1. Open the top cover AS.

(See 5.1.)
Insert the compact flash card to the CF slot of the ME-1000.

* Pay attention to the inserting direction of the compact flash card.
* Be sure to turn OFF the power of the main body when inserting and removing the compact
flash card.

2. Turn ON the power while pressing the STOP button.
3. Press the Chuck or Rechuck button to select the software to be installed.
4. Press the Start button to specify the software to be installed.
5. A confirmation message, which asks whether the software will be installed or not, appears

on the screen. Press the Start button (YES) to continue the installation, or press the Stop
button (NO)to stop the installation.

6. Initialization will start after the installation is completed.
7. Check the version of the installed software by following the procedures below.

1) Establish the MENU mode.

(See 7.1.1.)

2) Check the SOFT VERSION in the lower right of the Menu screen.

7.13 Checking the Parameter of the BL Inverter

1. Remove the side cover L (40350-M225).

(See 5.4.)

2. Turn ON the power of the main body.

* The power of the inverter also turn on at this time.

3. Press the DATA SET button on the inverter control panel once. The parameter No. indicator

blinks (LED indication in 2 digits).

* Press the STOP, DATA SET,

∧

and

∨

buttons simultaneously before the procedures above to

read the number of 100 or later.

4. Select the parameter No. to be checked with the

∧∧∧∧∧

and

∨∨∨∨∨

buttons. (“.” blinks in the lower

right of the LED indication in 2 digits when the parameter No. is 100 or later.)

* The trip record is saved in the parameters No. 81 - 85. (The parameter No.: 81 is the latest trip

code. The trip record becomes older in the order of the parameter No.: 82, 83, 84 and 85.

5. Press the MODE button once.
6. Reassemble the side cover L (40350-M225).
