7.11.5 Adjusting the Front Surface Offset

1. Read the Drill Adjustment Pattern (FSO).

(See 7.2.5.)

2. Put the lens into the processing chamber and

grind it.

* The right feeler may interfere with the lens

when using an excessive negative lens (-5D
or more) in this processing.

3. Check the holes and find the hole that laps

over the one on the lens front.

* There are holes of inclination 0.0 and 30.0 at
each position.

4. Follow the procedures below to adjust the

front surface offset when there is no hole that
the position laps over the one on the lens
front.

1) Establish the Parameter Setting mode.

(See 7.1.2.)

2) Press Adjustment.
3) Press Groove & Drilling.
4) Change the following parameter settings.

a. Front Surface Offset
* Add +1.2 to the parameter when the holes

are as the left one in the right illustration.
Add -1.2 to the parameter when the holes
are as the right one in the right illumination.

5. Add the adjustment value corresponded to

the hole No. in the right table to the
parameter when two overlapped holes are
found.
