7.9 Adjustment of the Safety Bevel

7.9.1 Adjusting the S.F.B. position

1. Establish the MENU mode.

(See 7.1.1.)

2. Press Setting -Safety Bevel.
3. Press Medium.
4. Change the following parameter settings.

1) Rear Size (Bevel): 0.4
2) Rear Size (Flat): 0.4
3) Front Size (Bevel): 0.3
4) Front Size (Flat): 0.3

5. Read the stored lens data of circle 45.

(See 7.2.4.)

6. Select the settings of the lens (lens type: CR-

39, diopter: -3D to -5D) as below on the
layout screen.

1) In beveling

a. Frame type: Metal
b. Processing mode: Guide (5 : 5)
c. Polishing: NONE
d. S.F.B.: Medium

2) In flat processing

a. Frame type: Nylor
b. Processing mode: Flat
c. Polishing: NONE
d. S.F.B.: Medium

7. Adjust the following parameter settings so

that the width of the safety bevel is within
the set value

0.2mm after the beveling and

flat processing are completed.

1) Rear Position (Flat)
2) Front Position (Flat)
3) Rear Position (Bevel)
4) Front Position (Bevel)
* Inputting the plus value increases the width

of the safety bevel.
