Function Specification

[Operation at normal startup]

When this product starts, the license is confirmed. When the response of the completion confirmation is received from
the server, the security/scan function of this product is enabled. The bridging/routing function of this product does not
operate until the security/scan function is enabled.

1.

When this product starts, the ALERT2 lamp lights green.

2.

The NETWORK lamp lights orange or green when this product goes to a state where it can communicate over the
Internet. In this timing, the security/scan function is started. The confirmation processing of the license is executed
at the same time.

3.

The ALERT2 lamp is turned off when the startup of the security/scan function is completed, and this product
enables the bridging/routing operation.

4.

The updated signature information is regularly confirmed after this.

Green ALERT2 lamp indicates that the security/scan function is disabled.
