Memory Card Back-up
The system Compact Flash (CF) Memory Card is used to store system parameters (Laser Diode Current
Limit, Laser Diode Output Wavelength, Peltier Cooling Parameters, etc.). The memory card must be
present in order for the system to operate.
CAUTION
Never insert or remove the Compact Flash Memory Card while power is
ON,
the data contents may be erased or corrupted, making the memory
card unusable .
The contents of the memory card should be backed up periodically. A compact flash reader or a compact
flash adapter is necessary for back-up.
Required Items:

PC equipped with a compact flash reader or compact flash adapter
1. Turn the power to the Marker OFF , then remove the CF memory card.
2. Insert the CF memory card into the PC compact flash reader or compact flash adapter.
3. Double-click the
My Computer
icon and
verify the memory card is recognized as
a removable drive. If the drive is
present, the contents may be backed-up.
If not, refer to the compact flash
reader/adapter for details.
NOTE: The contents of the drive are
as follows:

4. Choose
Select All
from the
Edit
Menu.
5. Select
Copy
from the
Edit
Menu.
6. Choose a directory for the back-up files, then select
Paste
from the
Edit
menu.
Back-up is now complete.
