(3) LD Replacement
When the marking quality diminishes below acceptable standards and the optical system is adjusted,
cleaned and is running at the maximum current setting of 48 A, the LD may be at the end of its life and in
need of replacement. For LD replacement instructions, see
Chapter 12. Maintenance .
The LD will be replaced under warranty if the Marker is less than two years old after delivery of the
equipment or 10,000 hours of LD operating time, whichever occurs first. If the Marker is out of warranty,
a nominal fee will be charged to replace the LD.
For example, if the life of LD runs out eighteen months or 6,000 hours after delivery, it will be replaced
under warranty. The remaining warranty period will be six months or 4,000 hours whichever occurs first.
Once the warranty period expires a nominal fee will be charged for LD replacement.
