k. How to offset a designated line
The following section describes how to move the positions of existing characters (for this
example the vertical
ABCDE
and circular
abcdefghijklmnopqrstu
will be used). A tedious
approach would be to individually modify the X and Y positions manually. A faster approach
would be to use the offset function to reposition these character strings.
i.
Select the 5th line, then press the
Insert
button to insert a
line between the 4
th
and 5
th
character strings. Choose this
entry as
offset
, then select the
Insert
button.
ii.
Define the
Shape/Function
to
Offset
.
iii.
Define the
Offset X
and
Offset Y
values.
iv.
Select the Re-display button and verify the offset on the
ABCDE
and
abcdefghijklmnopqrstu
characters.
The offset function affects all character input lines below the selected line.
