Important system-wide specifications appear in the following subsections.
Loop Limits
Table 4-2 identifies the maximum distances from the Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server to which digital
and single line endpoints can be installed.
Power Supply
Built into the CS-52xx chassis, the 40 W power supply provides power ot the chassis and
modules. The chassis must be connected to an isolated, dedicated, 105–125 VAC, 15 A
(minimum), 57–63 Hz, single-phase commercial power source through an uninterruptible power
supply (UPS). The system power supply pr5 VDX, 4 A output.
Built into the DEI chassis, a 100 W power supply provides power to the chassis and modules.
For universal operation, each chassis
must be connected to an isolated, dedicated, 90–240
VAC, 15 A (minimum), 50/60 Hz, single-phase commercial power source through a (UPS). The
DEI power supply pr24 VDC, 5.3 A output. For expanded applications, all required
power transformers should be plugged into appropriate power sources. For details, refer to the
equipment manufacturer’s documentation.
In addition to the system power back-up, a rechargeable battery located on the system
Processor Module backs up the database. In the event of a power failure or brownout condition,
this battery supports the module for up to one day. The battery automatically recharges when
power is restored to the module.
