x-y-z coordinate system A 3D positioning
system that includes a third (z) axis running
perpendicular to the horizontal (x) and vertical (y)
axes. The x-y-z coordinate system is used in
computer graphics for creating models with
height, width, and depth, and for moving models
in 3D space.
Y
Y/C video A component video signal in which
the luminance (Y) and chrominance (C)
information are separate. S-VHS videocassette
recorders use the Y/C video format.
Also called
S-Video.
Y, R-Y, B-Y video An analog component video
signal comprised of three channels: Y
(luminance), R-Y (red minus luminance), and B-Y
(blue minus luminance).
