1394 cable
You can plug a 1394 device (such as a DV camcorder or DV deck) into
either of the input connectors on the MAX card and attain identical
performance.
°Important
Keep in mind that the MAX card supports only one DV-1394
input connection at a time. If you wish to capture material from different
DV-1394 devices, you must turn off the first device before turning on the
second.
Hot-plugging
Your DV-1394 device can be plugged into or unplugged from the MAX
card at any time; there’s no need to turn off the computer when connecting
or removing your device, provided your capture program is closed. When
connecting your DV-1394 device, make sure it’s turned off. Once you’ve
connected your device, you can turn it on and it will be ready for use. Do
not try to swap DV-1394 devices while performing a capture or export to
tape.
