Run DigiUtils Setup to prepare some configuration files
Run DigiUtils Setup to prepare some configuration files
Before you can install your DigiSuite hardware, you need to run DigiUtils
Setup. This is because Windows 2000 contains some configuration files
that can cause conflicts with your DigiSuite hardware. If these files are not
modified when Windows first starts up with DigiSuite hardware installed
in your computer, you’ll be unable to restart your system and install your
DigiUtils software. Setup is designed to detect and modify these files so
that you’ll have a trouble-free installation once you’ve installed your
DigiSuite LX MAX.
1 Insert the DigiSuite CD in your CD-ROM drive.
2 From the DigiSuite CD menu, choose
Run DigiUtils Setup
.
3 Setup detects and modifies the initialization files.
¯Note The file update process happens quite quickly and provides no
visible feedback onscreen.
4 When the update is complete, a message box appears prompting you
to shut down your system. Click
OK
to shut down your system and
proceed to Chapter 4, “Installing Your DigiSuite LX MAX Hardware ”
for hardware installation.
