Chapter 6, Installing the DigiSuite LX MAX Software
Completing the installation
To complete your DigiSuite installation, you need to process the Windows
2000 detection of the new hardware installed in your computer, and then
run DigiUtils Setup a second time to install your software.
Windows 2000 detection of new hardware
The first time you restart your computer after having installed the
DigiSuite hardware, the Windows 2000 Plug and Play software detects
new hardware. Because this is based on the main processors (chips) on
your card, you’ll see more than one message.
°Important
Some of the messages that appear onscreen during the
detection refer to Matrox display cards, such as the Matrox Mystique. This
is because your DigiSuite LX card contains some of the same advanced
graphics processing chips as the Mystique, and Windows detects these
chips as display cards. When you follow the steps below to search your CD
for the correct driver files, the installation routine will install the correct
driver files for your DigiSuite LX MAX.
About digital signatures You’ll also be prompted to install the devices even though they’re not
recognized by the Windows digital signature system. Simply click
Yes to
install the devices anyway.

Make sure you’ve checked
CD-
ROM drives
only, then click
Next
to continue. Windows finds the
files and updates its information
files on your system drive. For a
couple of these, you’ll be
prompted to restart your system.
¯Note
Depending on your hardware configuration, you may have to
repeat this procedure several times. All the installation information
required is available on your DigiSuite CD. Simply repeat the above
procedure as many times as necessary.
2 After the hardware detection phase is complete, leave your DigiSuite
CD in your drive and proceed to the next section.
