and highlight the drive
you want to use. Press the spacebar to select the drive. An X appears to indicate that the drive has
been selected. Repeat this step for the second drive if you are configuring a RAID1 array.

to create the array.

Creating an array using the optional ServeRAID H1135 controller
Use these instructions to configure a RAID array on the Flex System x220 Compute Node using an optional
ServeRAID H1135 controller.
To configure the optional ServeRAID H1135 controller, use the LSI SAS2 MPT Controller Configuration
application to perform the following tasks:
• Set the device boot order
• Add or remove devices from the boot list
• Manage the RAID configuration
Note:
The hard disk drives in the RAID configuration must use the same type of interface and must have
identical capacity and speed.
To start the application, complete the following steps.
Step 1.
Start the compute node Setup utility. See “Using the Setup utility” on page 24 for instructions.
Step 2.
From the Setup utility main menu, select
System Settings
.
