High-v olta ge rela y
The high-v oltage relays inside the tester are consumable. Although service life
depends on the usage en vironment, we recommend that the high-v oltage relays be
replaced e v ery one million tests. W e also recommend re gular internal inspections
and cleaning at the same interv als.

Cooling fan
The service life of the cooling f an is approximately 60,000 hours.
The re v olutions per minute of the cooling f an are controlled based on the internal
temperature, and its service life depends partly on the conditions under which it is
used. Replace the cooling f an after approximately 60,000 hours. In addition, con -
duct internal inspection and cleaning of the tester at the same time.

Bac kup batter y
The tester uses a lithium battery for memory backup.
When the battery’ s po wer supply runs out, such data as test conditions cannot be
stored in memory . Depending on the conditions under which it is used, replace the
backup battery e v ery three years. In addition, conduct internal inspection and clean -
ing of the tester at the same time.
7.4 Calibration
T o maintain the accurac y of measuring instruments for an e xtended period, calibra -
tion should be performed re gularly .
• The tester gener ates v oltages as high as A C 5 kV and DC 6 kV . Calibr ation
is e xtremely dangerous; contact y our Kikusui agent if calibr ation ser vices
are required.
