Output signal
• The open collector output can lead to b urning of the output de vice and the printed
circuit board if the load is short-circuited. Use a protection fuse for output.
• T o dri v e an inducti v e load such as a relay , be sure to connect a diode in parallel
with the coil.

• K eep the signal line at least 500 mm from the high-v oltage test leadwire
and the DUT . Do not shor t-circuit the test v oltage to the signal line . Other -
wise , all inter nal circuits ma y be destro y ed.
• Do not e xtr act a current e xceeding the maxim um r ated current of 100 mA
from the +24 V inter nal po w er supply . Once a current e xceeds the maxi -
m um r ated current, the o v ercurrent protection function activ ates and “24V
OCP” fl ashes on the LCD . The tester enters the PR O TECTION status .
If the o v ercurrent protection function activ ates , tur n off the PO WER s witch
to pre v ent an o v ercurrent.
If an o v ercurrent fl o ws contin ually f or hours , the inter nal circuit ma y mal -
function.
• The internal control circuit of the tester is designed to pre v ent malfunction caused
by noise generated by the tester or peripheral de vices. Ho we v er , connected
de vices may malfunction, if unshielded cables are connected to SIGN AL I/O ter -
minals, because cables w ould virtually mak e a sort of “antenna” to pick up e xter -
nal noise. T o a v oid this problem, use metal connectors, shielded cables, and
