1 Use the occlusal contacts legend to assist in bite intensity and

clearance.

9.25 Model alignment groups

Groups are used to align models. You can create and export multiple

groups if needed. If two or more models are aligned during scanning, a

group is automatically created with the aligned models. When doing manual

alignment, you will need to add to an existing group or create a new group.

NOTE

Additional scanning on a layer will cause any associated groups to be

deleted.

9.25.1 Create new alignment group

About this task

To create a new alignment group:

Steps

1. Drag one scan layer onto another.

If the system cannot align them automatically, a manual alignment

screen appears. See "Manual alignment" on page 49 for more

information.

9.25.2 Buccalless bite alignment

About this task

You can create an alignment without scanning the buccal.

Steps

1. Scan the Upper.
2. Scan the Lower.
3. Drag the Upper layer onto the Lower layer to create a new group.

Results

The system creates an alignment based on occlusal contacts.
