Steps

1. Select Upper or Lower Pre-op as your Workflow.
2. Click the Pre-op layer.
3. Scan the pre-operative tooth or wax-up and adjacent teeth.

4. Prepare the tooth.
5. Click the appropriate prep layer.
6. Scan the teeth.

9.28 Scan body workflow

About this task

Follow these instructions to use the Scan Body workflow.

Steps

1. Select Scan Body workflow.
2. After removing the healing cap, the soft tissue (where implant is placed)

is scanned in as the preparation model.

3. Scan the opposing and buccal bite.
4. Insert the scan body and scan it under the Scan Body scan layer.
5. Start the scanning at the gingival in order to capture enough data.

When possible, include teeth and tissue in the scans. Scan up the side,

over the top of the scan body, and back down until you reach the

gingival again. Scan the rest of the model with the scanner’s normal

scan pattern.
•

Try and get as close as possible to the scan body, but do not put it

inside of the tip.

•

Use the larger tip size because of the bigger field of view to aid in

alignment.
