9.32 360º Scanning

You can scan the underside of an appliance to send to a laboratory. The

example below is of a denture that has been scanned into the Upper scan

mode. These pictures are of one model.

9.33 Import model

About this task

Follow these instructions to import a model.

Steps

1. Click a scan layer to select it.
2. Right-click the scan layer and select Import Model.
3. Navigate to the desired file on your computer.

You can import .ply, .stl, or .obj files.
The model is imported and an orientation graphic displays.
