Steps

1. Click Data density.

The model refreshes with the dark blue and purple areas indicating the

least data.

2. Rotate the model to analyse it.

Dark areas on your restoration site and interproximal contact areas

should be rescanned.

3. Check if the key areas are missing data:

•

Look for coloured areas on the prepared tooth, especially on the

margin.

•

The adjacent teeth should have good data on the interproximal

contact area, occlusal surfaces, and of the lingual and buccal

contours.

•

Data below the height of contour is not as crucial on the adjacent

teeth.

4. If areas lack detail, rescan the needed area.

What to do next

Click Data Density again to return to the normal view. Click Margin when

finished with scanning.
