d) During operation, it is a must to ensure the permanent-magnet SM cannot run
again by the action of external load; it is recommended to install an effective
external braking device or cut off the direct electrical connection between the
permanent-magnet SM and the VFD.
Note:
1.
Do not switch on or switch off the input power supplies of the VFD frequently.
2.
If the VFD has been stored for a long time without being used, check the capacitors, perform
capacitor reforming (see “Maintenance”), and carry out pilot run for the VFD before the use.
3.
Close the VFD front cover before running; otherwise, electric shock may occur.
1.4.3 Maintenance and component replacement
Only trained and qualified professionals are allowed to perform maintenance,
inspection, and component replacement for the VFD.
Cut off all power supplies connected to the VFD before terminal wiring, and wait
for at least the time designated on the VFD after disconnecting the power
supplies.
During maintenance and component replacement, take measures to prevent
screws, cables and other conductive matters from falling into the internal of the
VFD.
Note:
1.
Use proper torque to tighten screws.
2.
During maintenance and component replacement, keep the VFD and its parts and components
away from combustible materials and ensure they have no combustible materials adhered.
3.
Do not carry out insulation voltage-endurance test on the VFD, or measure the control circuits of
the VFD with a megohmmeter.
4.
During maintenance and component replacement, take proper anti-static measures on the VFD
and its internal parts.
1.4.4 Disposal
The VFD contains heavy metals. Dispose of a scrap VFD as industrial waste.
Dispose of a scrap programmable controller separately at an appropriate
collection point but not place it in the normal waste stream.
