Place the finger centrally on the edge of the heat sink (
see figure
).

Guide the basic card downwards with light pressure (max. 2 N).
Depending on the type of fastening:
•
Locking hooks
¾
Guide the basic card when snapping in (see
in figure), because
of, the locking hooks could tilt.

Screw
¾
Screw on the basic card to the main board.

Clamps
¾
Press down the clamps until they snap into place.
Connect AIFX detached Network Interface
Important!
Operating the PC cards
Mini PCI
CIFX 90-RE\F, CIFX 90-
RE\F\M12, CIFX 90-DP\F, CIFX 90-CO\F and CIFX 90-DN\F or the PC
cards
Mini PCI Express
CIFX 90E-XX\F (all variants ‘NHS’, ‘ET’, ‘MR’ or
with ‘M12’)
requires proper connection of the Ethernet (AIFX-RE or AIFX-
RE\M12), PROFIBUS (AIFX-DP), CANopen (AIFX-CO), DeviceNet (AIFX-
DN) or CC-Link (AIFX-CC) detached network interface to the basic card!
For 2-channel devices both detached network interfaces must be
connected.
Note:
If IP 67 is requried: On the Ethernet AIFX-RE\M12 detached
network interface, remove the front LED lightpipe and route the LED
signals via the cable connector LED signals X3 to the mainboard or a
separate detached LED board.
