Go to
Menu > Shutdown
.

Click <Logout> to log out or
<Reboot>
to reboot the DVR.
2.2 Activating the Device
For the first-time access, you need to activate the device by setting an admin password. No
operation is allowed before activation. You can also activate the device via a web browser, the
Grundig Viewer or the an SCMS Client Software.
Steps:
1.
Enter the same password in the text fields of
<Create New Password> and <Confirm New
Password>.
Admin Password Settings
WARNING:
STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED
-We highly recommend you create a strong password of
your own choosing (Using a minimum of 8 characters, including at least three of the following
categories: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers and special characters.) in order to
increase the security of your product. Further we recommend you reset your password regularly,
especially in the high security system. Resetting the password monthly or weekly can better
protect your product.
2.
Click <OK> to save the password and to activate the device.
Note:

View password is supported. Click the
icon and you can view the actual text of the
password. Click the icon again and the content of the password becomes invisible again.

If you update an older version to the new version, the following dialog box will pop up once
the device starts up. You can click <YES> and follow the wizard to set a strong password.
3.
After the device is activated, the Attention box pops up as below.
