The valid value of <MTU> has to be fixed between 500 to 1500. 

‒

 

If the DHCP server is available, you can check the checkbox of <Enable DHCP> to 

automatically obtain an IP address and other network settings from that server. 

‒

 

If the DHCP is enabled, you can check the checkbox of <Enable DNS DHCP> or 

uncheck it and edit the <Preferred DNS Server> and an <Alternate DNS Server>.

After having configured the general settings, click the <Apply> button to save the settings.   

12.2 Configuring the Advanced Settings 

12.2.1 Configuring the PPPoE Settings 

The DVR also allows access by Point-to-Point Protocol over the Ethernet (PPPoE). 

Steps:

Go to 

Menu > Configuration > Network > PPPoE

. 

 

PPPoE Settings Interface

Check the <Enable PPPoE> checkbox to enable this feature. 

3.

 

Enter the <User Name> and the <Password> for PPPoE access. 

Note: 

The User Name and the Password should be assigned by your ISP. 
4.

 

Click the <Apply> button to save the settings. 

5.

 

After successful set-up, the system asks you to reboot the device to enable the new settings 

and the PPPoE dial-up will automatically connect after the reboot.
