Vehicle Detection is available for the road traffic monitoring. In Vehicle Detection, the passed
vehicle can be detected and the picture of its license plate can be captured. You can send an alarm
signal to notify the surveillance center and upload the captured picture to an FTP server.
Steps:
1.
Go to
Menu > Camera > VCA
.
2.
Select the <Camera> to configure the VCA.
You can check the checkbox of <Save VCA Picture> to save the captured pictures of the VCA
detection.
3.
Select the <VCA Detection Type> <Vehicle Detection>.
4.
Check the <Enable> checkbox to enable this function.
5.
Click to configure the <Trigger Channel>, the <Arming Schedule>, <Linkage Action> and
<PTZ Linking>.
Note:
The PTZ linking is only applicable to the other list, not to the whitelist and the blacklist.
6.
Click the <Rule Settings> to enter the <Rule Settings> interface. Configure the lane, upload
picture and overlay content settings. Up to 4 lanes are selectable.
7.
Click <Save> to save the settings.

10.3 Line Crossing Detection
This function may not be available in each recorder model.
This function can be used for detecting people, vehicles and objects that cross a set virtual line.
The line crossing direction can be set as <Bi-directional>, from <Left to Right> or from <Right to
Left>. And you can set the duration for the alarm response actions, such as full screen monitoring,
audible warning, etc.
Steps:
1.
Go to
Menu > Camera > VCA
.
2.
Select the <Camera> to configure the VCA.
You can check the checkbox of
<Save VCA Picture> to save the captured pictures of the VCA
detection.
3.
Select the <VCA Detection Type> called <Line Crossing Detection>.
4.
Check the
<Enable>
checkbox to enable this function.
