PAL:
Acronym for Phase Alternating Line. PAL is also another video standard used in
broadcast television systems in large parts of the world. A PAL signal contains 625 scan lines
at 50Hz.

PTZ:
Acronym for Pan, Tilt, Zoom. PTZ cameras are motor driven systems that allow the
camera to pan left and right, tilt up and down and zoom in and out.

USB:
Acronym for Universal Serial Bus. USB is a plug-and-play serial bus standard to interface
devices to a host computer.
18.2 Troubleshooting
No image is displayed on the monitor after the device is starting up normally.
Possible Reasons:

There are no VGA or HDMI connections.
—
The connection cable is damaged.
—
The input mode of the monitor is incorrect.
Steps:
1.
Verify that the device is connected with the monitor via a HDMI or a VGA cable.
If not, please connect the device with the monitor and reboot.
2.
Verify that the connection cable is good.
If there is still no image display on the monitor after rebooting, please check if the connection
cable is good and change the cable and connect again.
3.
Verify that the input mode of the monitor is correct.
Please check that the input mode of the monitor matches the output mode of the device (e.g.
if the output mode of the DVR is an HDMI output, then the input mode of the monitor must
be the HDMI input). If not, please modify the input mode of the monitor.
4.
Check, if the fault is solved by steps 1 to 3.
If it is solved, finish the process.
If not, please contact the engineer from our company to continuethe process.
There is a beep sound after a newly bought device starts up.
Possible Reasons:

There is no HDD is installed in the device.
—
The installed HDD has not been initialized.
—
The installed HDD is not compatible with the device or it is broken-down.
Steps:

Verify that at least one HDD is installed on the device.
