Pausing the Finisher
To remove output from the finisher tray, press the Pause/Resume button of the finisher to pause the current job.
If a message appears when there are objects under the finisher tray obstructing the movement of the tray, press
the Pause/Resume button to pause the current job.

Pausing
If the Pause/Resume button is pressed when the machine is not in operation, the Pause lamp lights and the
machine pauses. If there is paper in the finisher, the machine cannot be paused.

Reserving a Pause
If the Pause/Resume button is pressed when the machine is in operation, the Pause lamp flashes to indicate
the reservation state. The current job stops at an appropriate timing and then the machine stops operation.
The Pause lamp lights to indicate the pause state. The reservation cannot be cancelled until the machine
stops operation.

Cancelling a Pause
When the Pause lamp is lit, press the Pause/Resume button again.

If the Pause/Resume button is pressed with a document loaded on the document glass, the machine stops operation after
scanning the document.
●
If there is paper inside the finisher tray, the machine stops operation after purging them to the finisher tray. If stapling is specified,
the machine stops operation after stapling the ejected copies.
●
The job being output to the output tray cannot be stopped.
●
If the machine stops operation for some reason when a pause is reserved, the pause reservation is cancelled.
●
Once the Pause/Resume button has been pressed, the machine does not start even when the <Start> button is pressed until the
Pause/Resume button is pressed. Be sure to press the Pause/Resume button again.

Procedure
Press the Pause/Resume
button.
The Pause lamp lights and the
machine stops operation. If a
document is being scanned, the
pause is reserved and the
Pause lamp flashes.
Remove output from the tray.
If there is an obstacle under the finisher tray, move it.
Press the Pause/Resume button.
The Pause lamp goes out and the pause state is cleared.
Press Start.
The paused job is resumed.

When removing output from the fin-
isher tray, be sure to remove it all.
