Procedure
Lift the lever on the top
cover of tray 5 (bypass)
to open it.
The top cover can be attached to
the machine.
Remove the jammed
paper from tray 5 (by-
pass).
When the paper is torn, check if pieces of the paper are left
in the machine.
Close the top cover of
tray 5 (bypass).
Reload the paper prop-
erly.
The paper jam message will
persist if there are sheets of
paper left in the machine.
Remove the paper or check for
jammed paper at other loca-
tions.
3.3.2 Loading paper in tray 5 (bypass)

To load a stack of papers, first
remove all the existing paper from the
tray. Then reload the new stack of pa-
per.

If the top cover of tray 5 (bypass) is
not closed properly, error messages
will continue to be shown on the dis-
play and the machine will not resume
its operation. If sheets of paper are
still jammed at other locations, other
error messages will be displayed.
