6.2  Overview of Tools Mode

●

 Auto Tray Switching (ATS)

This feature allows the machine to automatically switch to another tray that contains paper of the same
size, orientation and type (Normal only) once paper in the selected tray has run out.

* indicates the default value.

 Setting the audio tones

You can set the volume of the audio tones that inform you of a completed copy job, a machine fault
and so forth.

Auto Tray Switching

Select the ATS setting for the respective trays.  If you
have selected 

Disable

 for a tray, then ATS will not be

available for that tray.  You will find it convenient to
disable the ATS feature for trays that you do not use
frequently, for example, those for loading heavy weight
paper or colour paper.  Trays with ATS enabled cannot
select 

Heavy Wt 1

 in Paper Type.

ATS is not available for tray 5 (bypass).

Once you have selected 

Enable 

for ATS, automatic tray

switching will be carried out for the enabled trays.
If you have selected 

Enabled during APS

, ATS will only

be valid when you select 

Auto

 for Paper Supply.  ATS will

not be valid if you have selected any other tray besides
Auto.
