This section describes the troubleshooting methods in the event of an error.
A message will be shown on the display if paper is jammed or there is an internal machine fault.
Follow the displayed instructions to identify the problems and troubleshoot. If the problem persists
even after you have tried the following solutions, contact your Xerox Customer Support Centre.
7.1.1 When an error message is displayed
When an error message is displayed, follow the instructions to troubleshoot.
When paper or document jam appears, see “7.2 Clearing Paper Jams” and “7.3 Clearing Docu-
ment Jams” for more details .
You can also refer to the table below for methods to clear the jams.
Troubleshooting
Error message Reason
No document, or document
size cannot be detected.
Load document, or input
document size.
Transparencies incorrectly
loaded. Ensure correct
orientation of transparency
when loading. Press C
button to cancel the job.
This message appears when the
document is too small to be detected, or
when the document is skewed, or when
there are no documents placed on the
document glass.
This message appears when a
transparency paper with a white border
is loaded, into tray 5 (bypass), in the
wrong orientation or with the wrong side
up.
Troubleshoot method
Load the documents properly.

In the case of non-standard size documents,
enter the document size.

When using a transparency with white border,
the white border should be inserted into tray 5
(bypass) at the feeding point and check that the
correct side is loaded face down.
